This article will explain to you the same 5-step approach I implemented to become a copywriter within a few short months.

Study copywriting.

Learn as much as you can on the subject of copywriting before beginning your own copywriting business. You’ll want to consume as much online coaching as you possibly can. You’ll see numerous free video tutorials, posts, together with other resources online that will assist you become a copywriter. You could also visit different forums and articles on the net, and read as many books as you can. I have another video on my website which recommends the top three books that will really help you study and master copywriting.

Practice writing on a regular basis.

If you wish to become a good copywriter, then you will want to write frequently – if not most of the time. A terrific way to internalize another great copywriter’s skill set is to actually take some of the most successful advertising campaigns they’ve accomplished and reword them by using a pen and pad. The more you do this, the more you’re going to take up the exact writing skills and techniques of that copywriter. This is a smart way of writing without actually having a client to write for. You don’t have to get your first copywriting project before you could actually get started. Train by writing for goods that you’re knowledgeable about. This not only makes it possible to get that habit and skill of writing, but experience also. So go out there and start writing today!

Create a diverse portfolio.

A lot of clients that may think of hiring you are going to want to see your portfolio. If you’re a new copywriter, that’s difficult to do simply because you’re just getting started. So like I said in my previous tip, you’ll like to actually start practice copywriting. However, you have got to have a few real copywriting samples, rather than rewrites of existing marketing promotions created by well-established copywriters, to show clients.

An excellent way to accomplish that is to write for friends or acquaintances who may have businesses at no cost. That way, there’s no risk on them because you’re new, and there’s no risk on you since you’re doing work at no cost. It’s going to assist you in the long run since a great portfolio is a thing you’re going to need to present to clients to get hired.

Establish your business.

When I first began, I didn’t have a website or a business name; I wasn’t really incorporated. As I wasn’t setup correctly, I didn’t really have that confidence – I felt like my freelance copywriting activities were all just a pastime. Make your copywriting business official by getting a business name, a site, and a business bank account, have business cards printed, and every little thing that comes with setting up your business appropriately. When you are incorporated, you’re likely to feel a lot more at ease when you begin trying to find your first client.

Market your copywriting business.

An easy way to look for your first few clients is to attend activities where your prospective clients are at. Such gatherings include advertising workshops, business lunches, and networking events. Some events are free while some are paid. I’ve flown across the country as well as to other countries around the world to attend marketing events, and was able to get my first freelance copywriter jobs simply by networking. Just remember to be social and confident to approach the speakers and other attendees and hand out your business card.

What? Using my microwave oven to cook my seafood dinner… can I do that? Well let’s forget what you may have seen or heard previously and now learn how to cook fish to perfection in a microwave oven. Fish is actually one of the greatest natural foods to cook in the microwave and when done correctly can be quite a delicacy.

The microwave oven if relating to conventional terms is not really an oven as we know it. In a conventional oven, the food is heated starting from the outside and the heat slowly works its way inwards. With a microwave oven, electricity is converted into high frequency microwaves which excite the moisture and fat molecules within your fish.

Cooking fish fillets in the microwave is typical rather than a whole fish unless it’s a smaller sized fish; obviously we are restricted by microwave oven physical sizing as to what we can fit in to cook. If you do decide to cook a whole fish, you may be better off to remove the head and tail first.

Here’s a key element to microwaving fish:

A great way to prepare fish for microwaving is too actually butterfly your fillets. Butterflyed fillets have a more consistent or even amount of flesh which is perfect for cooking in the microwave. Pieces of fish that are uneven tend to have edges that end up dry and tough against their moist centres. If you have thinner fillets or uneven fillets, make sure to turn under the thin edges or even roll up the fillet to even out the thickness.

Place the thawed out fish on a plate or preferably a microwavable dish with the thickest portions towards the outside. Arrange your fish fillets in a single layer format. Cover the fish with some lemon or lime juice and garlic granules or just sprinkle on some light olive oil mixed with herbs and spices such as thyme or coriander.

Cover your dish with microwave safe plastic wrap as this helps to hold in the moisture and heat during the cooking process. Turn back one of the plastic wrap corners as you must allow some steam to escape. If you decide to cook a whole fish, make a few even thin cuts in the skin to help prevent it from splitting whilst it cooks.

Working with an average 600-800Watt microwave, you should cook on the high setting for a total of 4-5 minutes. Once this time has elapsed and that familiar beeping occurs, pop the door slightly open and let your dish stand for a further 2-3 minutes allowing it to final cook.

To check doneness, ideally use a cooking thermometer and aim for 140-145 degrees Fahrenheit, or simply check with a fork making sure that the flesh is just starting to flake. If not, pop it back in for a further minute and let it stand again for another minute before serving.

Would you like to be 100% sure that there’s no bones in your fillets? Here’s a “secret fish filleting step-by-step system” that’s been 45 years in the making and guaranteed to make fish filleting very easy for you. Salmon is a versatile fish in that there are many different ways to cook the fillets. It’s a healthy protein filled with Omega 3 Fatty Acids which have numerous health benefits, ranging from improved brain function to heart health. Salmon has lovely natural flavors so you can choose to cook and serve it unseasoned or you can add a range of seasoning to add even more flavor. The most popular methods of cooking salmon include baking, pan-frying or poaching. Read on for some handy tips on how to cook salmon.

To bake your salmon, place the fillets it on a tray that has been sprayed with olive oil spray or wrap the salmon in foil with various seasonings for example experiment with different herbs and spices or a squeeze of lemon juice or a dash of soy sauce. Cook the fish in a pre-heated oven for around 15-20 minutes or until cooked to your liking (note – cooking times may vary depending on the size of your fillets). Serve the unseasoned salmon with some mayonnaise and wedge of lemon. For seasoned fillets, there is no need to serve with additional condiments. Serve the salmon with a mixed side salad for a healthy and wholesome dinner.

Salmon is delicious pan-fried or cooked on the BBQ. As with the baking method, you can pan-fry or BBQ salmon without seasoning or you can season it with salt & pepper or a herb crust. When pan-fried, the outside of the fish can become crunchy, especially if you keep the skin on. Do spray the fish with olive oil spray or brush it with olive oil before cooking it over a medium-high heat until it is cooked to your liking (usually around 4-5 minutes on each side.) Serve the salmon with your favorite combination of salad or vegetables.

The healthiest way to cook salmon is to poach it. To do this, fill a medium-sized saucepan with around 5 cm of water and bring it to the boil. Gently place the salmon in the water, then reduce the heat so that the water becomes a gentle, rolling simmer where small bubbles appear around the fish. Cook the salmon this way for around 8 minutes, or until the salmon becomes opaque. You can flavor the liquid to give the salmon additional flavor. Try poaching the salmon in some chicken or vegetable stock, or in milk with a bay leaf and a few peppercorns. Poached salmon is terrific flaked or chopped and used in salads, sandwiches and rolls or as an addition to quiche or stirred through pasta.

Regardless of how you choose to cook your salmon or the seasonings you add (or don’t), once you know how to cook salmon, you can incorporate this delightful fish into your family diet.

If you ask the average sports bettor what percentage of their bets they needed to win in order to profit, I would bet that 98% of them would say 52.4%, or some other number like that. It is not coincidental that statistics show 98% of all sports bettors lose money. If you think you have to win half of your bets to make money, you don’t know what game you are playing.

The truth is, you can win substantially less than 50% of your bets and still pocket some nice profits. If you need proof, check out Best Sports Picks Today. If you look at the lifetime history of the site, I am the All Time leader by 11 units over the number 2 handicapper and almost 20 units over number 3.

My lifetime record as of April 30, 2012 at BSPT is 70-93 (.429) with a profit of +3210 since September of 2011. Every sport, the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL has been bet during this time with equal success. The same strategy was used for each sport, and I have shown a profit every month with the exception of February 2012.

What happened in February?

Let me tell you a little story, that, had it not happened to me I would probably not believe it could happen. Still, it did happen. In February 2012, I went 0-18 in my betting for the month. That’s right. I lost every single bet I placed for the entire month. I won my bet on January 31, and I won my bet on March 1, and lost every single one in between. Fortunately, I was Expert of the Month in January with +1250 units so my 20 unit bankroll was never down more than 5.5 units.

That streak is included in the numbers from BSPT shown above, and I am still by far the biggest winner. In spite of that 18 unit catastrophe in February, I am in 4th place for all of 2012 with over 10 units of profit. My record for the year is 29-49 (.371) through April, +1175.

I tell you these things for two reasons.

First, I needed to get February off my chest and fess up to the world how fallible I can be. Who would really want to claim an 0-18 record? But, since I do sell my systems and strategies, I owe it you to come clean about even the worst of times.

During that stretch, even I questioned my systems and strategies. Maybe I was just lucky in 2011. I was the biggest winner of the year at BSPT. Maybe that Expert of the Month award in January was my peak. Maybe, the thought occurred to me, that I was not as good as I thought. It took me March and April to recover the losses, but I did. My faith was shaken, but never broken.

The second reason is to show you proof that you don’t need to win more than 50% of your bets to win money. In fact, you don’t need anywhere close to it if you bet right. Most people do not bet right.

Carolina Capper, the current leader for the year at BSPT, is hitting 64% on 53 bets. I tip my hat to the man. He has far and away the best winning percentage, but still, he is only 1.5 units ahead of me right now while I have won only 37%.

How about for just the last two months?

DIY Sports Betting Systems

19 14 +1725

CarolinaCapper

30 16 +1260

Carolina Capper made 1260/46 = 27.39 per bet. I made 1725/33 = 52.27 per bet. That is a BIG difference in betting styles. If I were to lose my next five bets and my percentage dropped to 50%, we would be even and I would only be down to 45.39 per bet.

The point is, winning percentage is nowhere near as important as winning money. If you are betting with a strategy that requires you to win more than 50% of the bets you place to profit, you are almost certain to lose in the long run.

I submit for your consideration that it is insane to risk more than you can win on any game. Still, that is the way most people do it. They will take negative bets all the time. I have seen top handicappers pick teams at -190 or even more. They are crazy enough to put two units up on a baseball game, when the best they can hope to do is win one. And people pay to receive these picks.

Even betting on point spreads at -110 is a losing proposition in most cases. The books charge you 10% just for the privilege of betting on their best guess at what constitutes a 50-50 chance against the spread. Yet many supposedly skilled bettors do it all the time. My view is that if a team needs the points it is not worth betting on.

If you want to win money betting on sports, don’t worry about trying to win more games. Instead, focus your attention on winning more money on every game you do win. Instead of churning away your bankroll on point spreads, learn to pick money line winners that pay out +150 or more.

A basic review of the most popular gigs on Fiverr.com shows that users are looking for online promotion of their sites and even their Fiverr gigs! While choosing to create a promotion-based Fiverr gig will greatly increase your chances of having a high demand, any type of gig can use the basic principals these gigs have used to effectively increase demand. Popularity can be achieved on Fiverr by creating a gig that meets a specific and established demographic, by ensuring that your gig description and customer service are of the highest quality, and by thoroughly promoting your gig online. Sprinkling humor and creativity throughout these steps will help your gig to have healthy and sustainable growth.

When just starting out creating your first gigs on Fiverr, it is absolutely essential that you stick with ideas you are comfortable with and understand thoroughly. Use any particular skills you have that might be marketable online, or are far enough outside the ordinary to be untapped on Fiverr. For ideas, spend some time scanning through the Fiverr directories, browsing under the “Auto” search option for a slice of the creative things other people are doing. Browse under the “Popularity” tab to see what types of gigs have had the most success. Try to combine what you learn from these two types of searching into some gig ideas that will draw on your own personal strengths yet appeal to a large number of potential customers.

Quality and creativity must be the cornerstones of your gig description. The trust of your viewers can be instantly lost with a strange or impersonal description, but it is much harder to convince them that you are creative and trustworthy. Spend time crafting the best possible description. Add a video to boost your visibility. Once you start interacting with customers, go out of your way to be polite, informative and creative. Giving them the best possible customer experience will ensure good feedback, which is the cornerstone of the Fiverr system. Positive feedback will lead to more customers in a continual stream that will grow your business.

Finally, harness the promotional power of the Internet to get the word out about your Fiverr gig. This can be done through a variety of basic methods that are useful for all types of gigs, but your marketing plan should also include ideas that are specific to you and your gig type. The basic promotional tools include posting videos on your own private YouTube channel, creating a website through a free blog hosting site, and creating social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. You can even hire people to market your gig through Fiverr. Additionally, you should search out any online places that will have particular interest to your niche demographic. This can include blogs, forums, and even commercial websites.

Creating a Fiverr gig with a high demand requires diligent research and an absolute adherence to quality. The temptation to simply copy the very successful gigs at the top of the Popularity search list will result in a lower quality final product at the best, and may incur rejection from Fiverr at the worst. Staying true to yourself and creating a final product that you can be proud of will be your most powerful tool for creating a high demand for your Fiverr gig.

Want to learn more about making money on Fiverr? Make sure you check out Thefiverrconnection.com where you’ll find everything you need to know to get started making great money on Fiverr.com. We’re even giving away tons of free products that you can sell and start making money imediately using Fiverr!

Everyone loves music. Music is everywhere, it pervades our world. Everyone knows music has power and importance. But have you ever stopped to consider why? What it is about music that gives it so much power and importance?

Here are seven top reasons:

  1. Music is a universal language. It inspires common human feelings and bridges gaps between cultures that spoken languages cannot. It brings people together and creates universal community.
  2. Music inspires and evokes emotion in a healthy way. It touches our emotional being and evokes moods and feelings that are sometimes difficult to express. It can change a difficult mood and make it happy or excited; it can change a light mood and take it deeper and more profound.
  3. Music enhances learning and makes it more enjoyable. It is scientifically proven that music enhances brain functioning. Playing music uses many brain functions simultaneously: motor control, imagination, hearing, sight, memory, etc.
  4. Music creates ambiance. You can use music in any environment to enhance and augment what is already there. Consider the difference between a party with music and one without, or a sporting event, or a movie, or a romantic restaurant, or driving in your car…
  5. Music is spiritual. Music is of the spirit and inspirational to the spirit. All religions use music to help express spiritual values, and all religions use music to uplift the spirit.
  6. Music sparks the imagination. It invokes mental imagery and inner scenery that opens the mind to amazing insight and spans the distance between the stars.
  7. Music is a simple pleasure. All it takes is your ears and your imagination.

I believe that at the center of the phenomenon of the magic that music creates is the spiritual aspect. Music is a gift from God, a sacred expression of the Universal Life Force Energy that creates us all.

Now let us talk about why motivation for employees is so important for running a successful business. Being the best and having a great team is the only way you can keep a company alive and turn a profit in the future.

Just look at companies like Google and Facebook: if you do some research on their employees, it’s just a bunch of people that are nerdy, strange and living in their own world. But they all do have one thing in common: they are all united under one idea. Google and Facebook allow (even demand) their employees to be who they are and bring their creative and genius side to the foreground.

If a person isn’t constrained, he can do wonders. This is exactly why big companies hire creativity managers: motivation for employees is the foundation of any successful project.

But How Do You Motivate Your Staff?

1)      Reward (and bring to account) your people. When people come to work, they want to feel like their efforts mean something, not in terms of companies’ prosperity, but rather the country’s. This kind of motivation for employees is important, but I do suggest that you don’t reward people with money. Here is the problem: when one person or group has more money than the other, it can trigger jealousy.  If someone is jealous, he won’t think about his job, but rather about finding a new one.

At the same time, incorrect behavior must be punished also. If you ignore mischiefs or disloyalty, you set the stage for more disasters to come.

2)      Have A Common Vision.  As I already mentioned, sharing a common vision is important for your company’s overall success. People may have their own perspective on how to reach the goal – and that’s fine – but they will all work together to find the optimal solution.

3)      Be A Role Model. If you’ve set up some rules, then you make sure that you follow them also. Your employees will appreciate that. From time to time, fail at something and then punish yourself publicly. This will increase your reputation.

4)      Keep Your Employees “In The Loop.” If you want to have a motivated staff, make sure that they know what is going on in the company. Maintain open communication channels and make sure that your people are comfortable talking with you about relevant issues.

Thank you for reading this article on why motivation for employees is so important.

Let us talk about how to motivate your employees.  If you are a business owner or a team leader, you must already know that the successes of your projects are in direct correlation with how much your workers are motivated to do their job. If your employees are bored or feel like their work sucks, don’t expect your business to grow – or even survive, for that matter. You may say that, “I can fire the lazy bastards or give them a pay raise” and you will have a point, but in this economy, are you ready to spend even more money?

In this article I will give you some quick tips on how to motivate your employees, without spending a penny or punishing anyone:

1)      Offer a great environment. Nowadays people work 8 – 11 hours a day, and you can imagine that at one point they will just snap and start feeling frustrated. Your employees will feel that they are wasting their lives in a sterile, cold and boring workplace. Give your people some ways to relax and have fun. Maybe you could buy a pool table or encourage your employees to play some games, where they can have fun and interact with other co-workers.

2)      Don’t be a dick-tator. Of course, you need to teach your employees discipline in the workplace, but when it comes to other stuff like clothes, accessories, jewelry – be more liberal with that. Allow your workers to express who they are. The more comfortable they will feel, the better results you will get.

3)      Show the results of your employees’ work.  If you want to know how to motivate your employees, you need to make sure that they understand why their work is important. Take some time and show them some emails from your customers, where they express their gratitude for a work well done.

Your employees will appreciate this gesture, because any person wants to believe that their work means something, and they aren’t just an easily replaceable worker.

4)      Ergonomics – keep your workers healthy. Believe me when I tell you that sitting hours behind a PC or some other workplace is horrible. Often I felt uncomfortable, my back hurt as hell and I feel frustrated. But once I’ve bought an ergonomics-wise better chair, I felt much better and was able to focus on my work.

Thank you for reading my article on how to motivate your employees.

Let us talk about when it is a good idea to hire women motivational speakers for an event. Let’s be honest, this area has been totally dominated by men. Historically it were often the men who led armies in battles, started revolutionary movements, became an inspiration to whole generations. So when do we need female speakers?

Well, if you have a woman’s group and you need someone to cover a topic that specifically affects women, hiring women motivational speakers will give your group much more credibility. Imagine if a guy would read a lecture about how females are being suppressed in this unfair society. That would be absurd (and hilarious).

Women motivational speakers are great. The reason why many corporations hire them is because ladies are more sentimental than man and they react quickly to emotions.

Where Are Female Speakers In Demand?

Women motivational speakers are in an increasing demand in finance and insurance fields. Also, they are often hired to give presentations in such areas as time management, risk management, productivity management, etc. The reason for that is simple: female motivation speakers understand what drives women and this knowledge allows motivating them.

Many organizations that consider making serious changes and improvements, hire female motivational speakers to act as a catalyst. As I’ve already mentioned, often only women can convey a certain message to other females. This allows CEO’s not to worry whether everyone has understood what is expected from them or not.

How To Choose A Speaker?

There are a certain sets of rules you need to follow when choosing a speaker. This generation is a generation of talking, not taking action. That’s why you will find lots of women motivational speakers on the market.

Rule #1: Always Choose Quality Speakers

If you look at online bulletin boards, you will find hundreds of motivation speakers. This means that there are people who are good and are always in demand. But also it tells us something else: there are people out there who are crap at public speaking, but know how to market themselves as experts.

The only way to make sure that the speaker you want to hire is good, is by watching her performance live or on a video.

Rule #2:  Discover Their Credentials

Would you hire someone who doesn’t know anything about particular topic? I hope not. That’s why you need to make sure that your guest speaker is knowledgeable and has something to show for.

Thank you for reading this article on women motivational speakers.

I am always asked whether motivating a team is a choice, and my answer is usually simple, “anyone can do it, but you have to believe in yourself.” In today’s economy you can’t allow yourself to keep on a payroll people who are slacking off. That’s why you need to put some effort to make all people work towards the same goal.

What Is Motivation?

Motivating a team is all about explaining to your workers what’s in it for them. Your team must see the benefits and rewards to themselves and their future by committing to your projects. The better you can convey the value of your project, the better motivated your people will be.

In theory, motivation is easy: many people link working hard to pain, so that’s why you need to do everything to associate working with pleasure. First, set some small goals and make sure that your team reaches them. After each successful project, reward them with something – not necessarily with money – and soon you will see fire in your team’s eyes.

Be A Good Leader

Motivating a team is also about having a great leader. You need to build trust and respect, which might sound like an obvious thing, but many managers tend to miss that point. They think that having the power of firing someone provides them respect, but that is not true. By keeping people on a short leash, you just make them fear you.

I’m not a history major, but how many dictatorial and authoritarian empires have withstood the test of time? There were a few, but the majority fell apart. Don’t let that happen to your business!

Also, ask for honest, without any consequences, feedback from your workers. Being a good leader is also about being able to take a few hits and keep moving forward. Your team may think that you are going in the wrong direction or that you aren’t using them to their full potential. Now it’s only up to you to make the final decision, but sometimes your employees will also have a point. Take a few moments to talk to every one of them. That will leave an impression that you actually care about them and what they think.

As you can see, motivating a team is all about treating other people with dignity and respect. To have a successful business, you need to make sure that your people are working towards the same goal.
